The cafe’s setting is an instant mood-lifter, with a diverse array of seating options, from sofas to high tables. Wifi and charging outlets are provided, lighting though, is a bit low for writing but still bearable.

The service here is not the best, but the wide variety of yummy food options (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc) makes up for it! Overall a spacious study spot, and like any others, can be a bit noisy during lunch, but does get quieter later in the day.

Note: The shop has a studying fee of $18/person for 4 hours. However, this amount will be subtracted from whatever food and beverages you order.

What we ordered:

• 🍹 [Strawberry Lift-me-up - $8] - Although not a sweet drink, it was still very refreshing with satisfying chunks off muddled strawberry (7.5/10)
• 🍟 [Fish and chips - $19] - Perfectly cooked fish with batter that stayed crispy till the last bite, great tartar sauce to cut the fattiness of the fish, potato wedges could be thinner so that there's a better ratio between the crispy skin and fluffy potato (9/10)
• 🍞 [House made banana bread - $8] - Warm, sweet, and cinnamony, this wholesome baked good didn’t need any special plating (8.8/10)
• ☕ [Cafe latte - $8] - Strong coffee flavour with creamy aftertaste of frothed milk, a classic (9/10)
• 💧 [Free water refill - $0] - Nice little touch especially when you’re working continuously for hours

Even though Genius Central was a bit more on the pricey side, it earned its reputation for being a nice study spot.
